Transferring your ISA

Whether it’s to benefit from a higher interest rate or a different type of ISA account, transferring your ISA helps you to get the most out of your savings. To protect the tax-free status of your savings, you’ll need to arrange an ISA transfer with us before withdrawing any funds. Transferring to us is free, quick and can be completed remotely. 

Transferring your cash ISA into, out of, or between accounts at Furness Building Society is a simple process. You can take advantage of the built-in ISA transfer button on our app, which provides a quick and convenient way to submit your transfer request directly to our ISA team for processing, without needing to send us your ID documents.  If you're not yet signed up for digital services start your digital journey now

How to transfer a Cash ISA

How do I transfer funds from my Cash ISA with another provider to a Furness Cash ISA?

The simplest and quickest way to transfer funds from another provider to a Furness Cash ISA is through the Furness Digital Savings application. You can complete everything digitally, whenever and wherever suits you. If you're not already a digitally enabled member - start your digital journey here.

 

If you've signed up already - please login and start the ISA transfer process by selecting the account you wish to transfer into from your "My Accounts" screen.

 

 

If you don't wish to complete the process digitally, firstly, you’ll need to choose which Furness Cash ISA you want to open and you can view available Cash ISA account options here.

Then you’ll need to complete both the Cash ISA Application Form as well as the Cash ISA Transfer Authority Form. 

 

Things to remember: 

  • Please clearly state the name of the account you wish to open on the application form in the space provided. 
  • We are required by law to check the identity of all account holders, so we’ll require some proof of identity as part of your application. 
  • Please do not send cash with your application.
