Furness Building Society collects, uses and shares personal information about you so that we can provide you with a savings account and related services. This App and Online Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use and share your personal information when you use our mobile app and online service, including information about the device that you are using to access the app and service, for example, your mobile phone or tablet device.

Your location | We collect details of your location to allow us to detect your location and prevent fraud when you’re using the app and online services. |
Your phone number | We collect your phone number to allow you to register your account on our App. |
Your device information (including details of internet access) | We collect certain types of device information to allow us check if you have a working internet connection and troubleshoot any issues. |
Your biometric information | To allow you to use your biometric credentials, such as Face ID or Touch ID, to log on and for identification purposes when opening a new account. |

High sampling rate sensors data | To allow FBS to check any unusual or suspicious activity on the customer's device to prevent payment scams and fraudulent activities. |
Technical app data | To allow us to collect and use technical data and related information related to the App. We may use this information, as long as it is in a form that does not personally identify you, to improve our products and services or technologies. This also helps us to protect you and us from financial crime |
